'Has a nice big garden and has recently started stocking some well conditioned real ales. Atmosphere is slightly chavy but is still pretty laid back.'

'Beautiful tiered pub garden out the back. Seems to change management every few months so no consistency on quality of ales - sometimes excellent, sometimes barely drinkable (take a chance!) Very much a locals pub.'

Godalming Pubs : The Red Lion pub in Godalming
'Great pub. Split in two so that you can either have a beery game of pool and music or a quiet chat and a quality pint. Range of beers is extensive and excellently well conditioned. Best range of local beers, guest beers and bottled continental beers in the Godalming area. Bar staff are friendly and efficient. Only downside is that it can get a bit smokey and there are only limited options for outdoor drinking (ie small courtyard and a couple of tables on the pavement outside). It's only three minutes walk from the mainline station (Godalming is on the Waterloo to Portsmouth line)'
