Woodstock Pubs : The Black Prince pub in Woodstock 'I was very disappointed with this pub. With the 'Morse' conection, I thought it would be something special. It has the potential but the inside is in dire need of repair and a coat of paint. My wife and I popped in for Sunday lunch. We had the roast which on arrival was nothing special and overpriced at £8.50. The tables were sticky and other couples were moving because of this. ' Report
St Albans Pubs : The Mermaid pub in St Albans 'This is the friendliest pub in St Albans. The English equivalent of 'Cheers' - everybody knows your name. The bar staff are always friendly and they have a great selection of real ales. They have two new guest beers every week. Sky sports available and music twice a week. ' Report
St Albans Pubs : The Portland Arms pub in St Albans 'For a back street pub this is one of the nicest I have ever visited. A very middle-class clientele which makes it safe to take the wife. An excellent menu.' Report
St Albans Pubs : Mokoko pub in St Albans 'Probably the worst pub in St Albans. In dire need of a lick of paint. Visited one Thursday evening. Pub was empty, beer was off and the most miserable landlady I have ever met. ' Report
Ickleford Pubs : The Plume Of Feathers pub in Ickleford near Hitchin 'Excellent pub with a good selection of Real Ales.
The menu has a great selection at reasonable prices. And the locals were very friendly.
Only critisism was the landlady, she could have been a bit friendlier to stangers' Report
