This user has reviewed the following pubs:

Leeds Pubs : Bricklayers Arms pub in Leeds
'Friendly down to earth pub on fringe of studentland - that's not to say it's overrun by our learned friends, but it does traditionally attract a lively and heavydrinking postgrad posse who nestle in with gnarled yet happy locals. Decent beer including John Smiths cask and various guest ales; great jukebox; pool table; upside-down darts board; wee beer garden; cheesy-chips until 8(after 8 they let you order in). The best thing about this pub is that you feel like you've wandered into an eccentric relative's badly decorated yet friendly house. Check out the Brickies!'

Southport Pubs : Coronation Hotel pub in Southport
'A tragedy. Formerly a busy yet traditional town centre pub, it survived a refit in the nineties to retain some character and still attract a student/alternative/young professional/biker mix. This pub was an oasis in the midst of a white shirted black trousered shiny shoe townie desert. Now souless with poor beer (although sometimes has Pedigree or London Pride), blaring 'personality' DJs making it impossible to hear, and full of Southport's finest weekend warriors. Try the Windmill or the Chesire Lines instead.'

Leeds Pubs : Hyde Park pub in Leeds
'Grim grim grim - student area chain pub with poor atmosphere. Barnlike and loud at night, gets hyper-busy at weekends, also a midway stop off for folk on the Otley run. The Chemic Tavern is less than a mile away!'

Leeds Pubs : Junction Hotel pub in Leeds
'A pub for locals really, hence the slightly edgy atmosphere. A nice enough space despite the obvious 80s makeover, plus a beer garden out back. The day I dropped by there was no Tetley's cask, nor anything else other than fizz. A bad do for a Tetley's pub really.'

Leeds Pubs : North Bar pub in Leeds
'A fine bar that tends to attract a slightly older group of hepcats. Less fashion victims = friendlier evenings. Open until two, good fruit beers and speciality Euro stuff.'

Coventry Pubs : The Golden Cross pub in Coventry
'A tragedy, what was once an oasis in central Cov is now a nightmare. Why have a Tudor exterior and a horrible imitation chain pub interior? Uncomfortable and depressing. Whoever is responsible needs shooting. '

Leeds Pubs : Bricklayers Arms pub in Leeds
'Unfortunately the people who ran this as a friendly pub for the last few years have moved on. The word is that all the local headcases / plastic gangsters have now moved in and the place is best avoided. What a shame!!!'

Leeds Pubs : The Adelphi pub in Leeds
'Was a classic city centre pub, also allegedly the closest to the Tetley's brewery. Still retains most of the original fittings but has undergone a facelift; still good beer but now unfortunately boasts city centre prices. Packed out on a Friday, and sometimes attracts a braying wannabe 'apartments and lofts' crowd. Food good and beer selection good (if expensive). Has a ciggy yard with sofas and heaters. Come in the afternoon and play boardgames. Perhaps this place might have got worse by improving?'

Leeds Pubs : The Moorhouse Inn pub in Leeds
'Entertaining locals place, very slight animosity to outsiders but generally OK. Good for observing womens' tattoos.'
