Chislehurst Pubs : Ye Olde Station Master pub in Chislehurst
'Formerly known as the Bickley Arms, this is a large echoing boozer without atmosphere (and little beer range). Famous for being the pub criticised on-air by a famous radio DJ about 30 years ago. Report

London (E) Pubs : Prospect Of Whitby pub in London (E)
'As far back as I can remember, this riverside pub has always been a bit of a tourist haunt - even when the docks roundabout were in full swing. Now surrounded by yuppie warehouse conversions, the pub has an air of upmarket commercialism - gas lamps and pewter bar top supported on barrels. However, the pub and restaurant are atmospheric and pleasant so everybody should visit it at least once (try tying your boat up outside and clambering up to the pub).'
Report

Chislehurst Pubs : The Tigers Head pub in Chislehurst
'I remember this being a yuppies' pub before the term was even invented - Astons, Jensens and Porches parked outside and flash buggers, who kept monogramed tankards behind the bar, inside. A makeover a few years ago included combining the separate bars and laying down flagstones to create a commercialised version of the former pub. Unfortunately, this failed to improve the place and the sad result is a sterile, echoing boozer-cum-eatery. Whatever people might have thought of the old pub, at least it had a decent restaurant !'
