'The pub has no obvious personality in charge and the frequent changes of staff give it a slightly soulless atmosphere. The food is good but you do have to pay extra for vegetables.'

'The wood panelled bar and a large log fire are things from a bygone age of coaching inns. The pub reeks of atmosphere. The livery of its staff may seem a little pretentious but the prices have not been inflated to pay for it. It is a pub with standards and offers good beer and fine food.'
