This user has reviewed the following pubs:
Marlow Pubs : Royal Oak pub in Marlow 'The pub has no obvious personality in charge and the frequent changes of staff give it a slightly soulless atmosphere. The food is good but you do have to pay extra for vegetables.' Report
Henley-On-Thames Pubs : The Frog pub in Henley-On-Thames 'This a truly excellent blend of local and dining pub. The bar accommodates and welcomes those who just want a drink as well as those wanting a bar meal, while the restaurant caters for the more formal occasion. Food is the best in the area. Friendly and efficient staff ensure a pleasant visit.' Report
Henley-On-Thames Pubs : Angel On The Bridge pub in Henley-On-Thames 'This is a fairly basic pub, quite small and easily crowded. There are many more comfortable and enjoyable pubs in Henley.' Report
Frieth Pubs : The Prince Albert pub in Frieth near Henley-On-Thames 'Probably the smallest pub you will ever use. It makes up for lack of stature by trying really hard to please. A warm welcome is assured but parking may be a problem.' Report
Christmas Common Pubs : Fox & Hounds pub in Christmas Common near Watlington 'A dining pub but you can get a drink without feeling intrusive. The bar is arranged into small rooms which make it seem more intimate than it is. The bar menu is a good read but the food is not that good. The restaurant has been favourably rated.' Report
Hambleden Pubs : Stag & Huntsman pub in Hambleden near Henley-On-Thames 'The picturesque village of Hambleden and its pub have featured in countless films and TV shows. The Stag and Huntsman retains its rural charm with three bars, a dining room and a large garden. Good beer and good food and usually a crowded atmosphere.' Report
Knowl Hill Pubs : Bird in Hand pub in Knowl Hill near Reading 'The wood panelled bar and a large log fire are things from a bygone age of coaching inns. The pub reeks of atmosphere. The livery of its staff may seem a little pretentious but the prices have not been inflated to pay for it. It is a pub with standards and offers good beer and fine food.' Report
Fingest Pubs : Chequers Inn pub in Fingest near Henley-On-Thames 'The potential of this village pub has not been realised in recent years. It is scruffy and in need of a serious makeover. In summer you can avoid the rundown interior and enjoy the large garden. A change of licensee in September 2004 may lead to improvements.' Report
