'The Griffin used to be full of wannabe lefty teachers seriously smoking their Silk Cut and laughing at the big words in 'The Glesga Herald' ... nolonger resembling a rising star - it rather reminds me of Sunset Boulevard or a sad old panto dame. My advice for a good time - go to The Variety Bar just along the road '

'The live entertainment wasn't that far from the Grateful Dead - and the karaoke had all the pazzaz of the Bay City Rollers on Mogadon tablets. The woners should either modernise this pub or bring in traditional real ales '
