Glasgow Pubs : Babbity Bowsters pub in Glasgow 'Top pub with great hand pumped beer and cider, good food and even basic (but clean)inn accommodation. Plenty Celtic supporters on match days, with a very friendly atmosphere and it can get very crowded, especially when the folk music ensemble comes in and takes up a quarter of the bar. Despite that, it's well worth a visit. 8/10' Report
Glasgow Pubs : Bairds Bar pub in Glasgow 'As my moniker suggests, I am a Celtic fan, but not bitter (Oh yes he is! Ed). Bairds is a justly famous Celtic first and Celtic last pub, so on match days it's absolutely heaving. No doubt there is an "ultra" element there, but the majority of the drinkers, at least on match days, are, like their Murphys, anything but "bitter". 6/10' Report
Glasgow Pubs : The Tollbooth Bar pub in Glasgow 'Stumbled across this great little pub one recent midweek afternoon while heading back from a stroll down the Gallowgate. As the strains of a live rendition of Fields of Athenry pealed tantalisingly from under the door, and heavy clouds threatened to dump their contents on my unprotected head I couldn't resist. Inside I found a great mix of regulars and a few (like me) visitors, all of whom enjoyed a good old singalong to some Irish classics, 60's pop and C&W alike. There was a welcoming atmosphere and a good pint of Guinness. They're a bit hyper sensitive about what songs are acceptable.... but that's Glasgow 2005 and it will settle down soon enough. 7/10' Report
Glasgow Pubs : Bar 67 pub in Glasgow 'This is a great, genuine and above all welcoming bar. As previously mentioned, being of the hooped persuasion helps you enjoy the atmosphere, but if you are, and you like your beer without frills , then this is arguably the best pub in the Gallowgate. ' Report
