This user has reviewed the following pubs:
Farnborough Pubs : The Alexandra pub in Farnborough 'This pub is a real boozer! A proper pub where you can get drunk and smoke at the bar, something lacking in so called theme bars nower days. A good load of locals who are friendly and accepting of strangers. Friday nights are good and who will see the odd bit of puss now and again...' Report
Farnborough Pubs : The Thatched Cottage pub in Farnborough 'This pub has lost its will to live, the landlord has been there far too many years now. It needs to change and become fun, no interaction with the landlord/staff and punters. The brewery should have a real look at this pub and see whats going wrong.' Report
Farnborough Pubs : The Tradesmans Arms pub in Farnborough 'The trades has a bad attitude problem, real clicky locals and too many fights have pushed people away. The only good thing is that its locals are kept from making trouble in other Farnborough pubs.' Report
Farnborough Pubs : The Old Courthouse pub in Farnborough 'The Courthouse has many locals and the landlord is a fair chap, people tend to be a bit old in it though. Used to do good food but no cooking now, should bring it back.' Report
Farnborough Pubs : The Hawley Arms pub in Farnborough 'A rough old boozer this one! Used to be many a fight on many a night, calmed down now though. A very good kebab van around the back...' Report
Farnborough Pubs : The Imperial Arms pub in Farnborough 'Not much happening in this pub, a bit small and very old interior make it dull. A bit out of the way as well.' Report
Farnborough Pubs : The Monkey Puzzle pub in Farnborough 'An eating place not a pub as such, too modern and new since done up, kids and nice couples eating out means no fun for drinkers.' Report
Farnborough Pubs : The Swan pub in Farnborough 'This pub does NOT run along a canal, the Swan in Ash Vale does though but that is several miles away. This Swan needs money and love to make it a pub of good standard, it has loads of potential though as it is on the main road, food was always good when I went in and a pretty good atmosphere as well.' Report
Farnborough Pubs : The Prince Of Wales pub in Farnborough 'Yes I agree a bit small and quite old inside, but great for ale drinkers but im a lager man.' Report
Fleet Pubs : Oatsheaf Hotel pub in Fleet 'This was was a true pub years ago, but too modern now. Ornaments glued down on shelves this pub is all made up and lost its history. Good looking bar maids and nice big garden though.' Report
Aldershot Pubs : The Funky End pub in Aldershot 'This pub was called the South Western years ago and was the roughest pub in the world! Now the trendiest pub in Aldershot and has class, it seems more like you are in Farnham than Aldershot when inside. Big cocktail jugs ensure a good night.' Report
Farnborough Pubs : The Potters Arms pub in Farnborough 'Sadly not alot happening in the Potters Arms, friendly staff and a nice new attractive manageress but pub is a bit small and empty at times.' Report
Farnborough Pubs : Tumble Down Dick Hotel pub in Farnborough 'This is a Farnborough pub with alot of history! It has for some time now had a big crowd of gothy people, a very large pub indeed. With alot of cash this could be a huge attraction.' Report
Farnborough Pubs : The Ship Inn pub in Farnborough 'This pub is a boozer! It is however a bit low key. Is the new management temporary? Kronembourg was £2.95 a pint last time I went in, a bit high!!!' Report
Fleet Pubs : The Links pub in Fleet 'A good Fleet pub! Nice surroundings, 4 pool tables, tv screens, fruit machines and not too crowded and not too sparse of people. Good place to sit outside in the sun as well. One of the best pubs in Fleet, some others are far too full at the weekends. The drinks are well priced as it is a Mr Q's.' Report
Blackwater Pubs : Crown & Cushion pub in Blackwater near Camberley 'The hall outback is spot on, used to be dusty and old which was good but a bit fresher now. The food on Sundays (carvery) has always been very good and still is. In the summer this pub cannot easily be beaten, cricket playing next door on the field, a large woods across the road and far enough away from houses to keep the chavs and unruley council kids away. The pub in front maybe smallish and quite empty at times but still okay, it is however a little out of the way for many people to get on foot as taxis are expensive late. A pleasure to visit this place and eat...' Report
Farnborough Pubs : Plough and Horses pub in Farnborough 'This pub is quite well maintained, smart and clean. A few fruit machines and a nice small garden, good lager and food. It is in a good location on the main road. The only downside is that the landlord might get his hand in a bit more, I have waited at the bar to get served and he has justed stood talking and ignored work.' Report
Farnborough Pubs : Queens Head pub in Farnborough 'The Queens Head is a little tucked around the back to get noticed by passers by, this may be the reason it is empty alot. The seated area is always empty so why dont they do something with it? The boozer side has its locals, which is lacking good decor and the outside of the pub does not look inviting.' Report
Farnborough Pubs : Elephant and Castle pub in Farnborough 'You either like it or love it, this pub never changes! Most locals have something to hide, or skeletons in their closets.' Report
Farnborough Pubs : The North Camp pub in Farnborough 'For many years a Mr Q's, pool tables and fruit machines well stocked. Low priced food and drink. Garden small with plenty of seats but lacking green and pleasant things. An average pub due to its location in North Camp.' Report
Farnborough Pubs : The Crab & Anchor pub in Farnborough 'I went in this place today for the second time ever, Has a bar that you can sit and drink but not a pub as such.
Ordered a three course Sunday roast.
Had a nice roast pepper and tomato soup, 20 minutes after I had finished it my roast turned up just as my son had gone up to ask were it was!
Not bad but not the best I have ever eaten, we finished eating but our plates were still in front of us for another 15 minutes.
We had enough of sitting in this place so decided to forget the third course and settled for two courses instead.
The place was not too busy but everything was too slow, we were in there for ages.
Will not go again but wouldnt put anyone off.

Fleet Pubs : The Harvester pub in Fleet 'This establishment is in Fleet not Farnborough.' Report
Farnham Pubs : The William Cobbett pub in Farnham 'I have gone to this pub since about 1988/89 but only every year or so, and it has never changed. It is a must if you go out to Farnham on a drink night! The tent in the garden is great on winter nights and the bar outside has good cocktails, not sure if it carries on in the winter though. Pool tables up stairs which took me years to know were there. One of the best pubs ever... ' Report
Burnley Pubs : The Old Red Lion pub in Burnley 'This pub was okay, seemed clean enough and I was served very well indeed.
Right in the center of town and the food I had was not the best in town though.
You needed to smoke outside on the street.
The real negative point for me was the white walls and light coloured wood bar and shelves inside, it looked very cold and felt cold.' Report
Burnley Pubs : The Talbot pub in Burnley 'This is just another pub in Burnley, nothing very special.
The bar staff could make more of effort to make the customers welcome instead of playing pool, talking to each other on the settee or having a fag outside!
The top shelf drinks are not the best priced in town either, and the pub needs to clean up a bit.
This quite large and traditional pub could be a great place if it was loved a bit more by the staff.
Friendly locals are to be found in here and it is in a good location.' Report
Burnley Pubs : The Prairie pub in Burnley 'I have drank in this place with a friend and found it clean and modern, not often seen in Burnley I must say.
The drinks were okay price and the place seemed fine to me, I went again the next day to eat by my self and the tipsy pie and chips were very good.
The woman staff member who served me was good and I would go again thats for sure.
I come from the south of England and this is a type of pub often found down there, I would only say it has no real history inside as it is a new type interior, I do not know its history.
It is more of a eatery than a pub and I would not class it as a pub.' Report
Brierfield Pubs : Railway Tavern pub in Brierfield near Nelson 'This pub as you may have guessed in right next to Brierfield train station.
It not too bad on the outside and within the pub it is a good size, pool table in the pub also.
The crowd seems a local bunch and the odd fellow will say hello in the usual northern friendly manner.
The pub needs a good bit of decorating and scrubbing up and some modern fittings.
But with the way things are, I think money is tight in this neck of the woods.' Report
Brierfield Pubs : The Snowball Inn pub in Brierfield near Nelson 'The first time I went to this pub one evening it was closed.
The second time I tried it, there was two people at the bar ( a father with his 13 year old daughter),the female staff member looked very young and she made no effort to speak to me, I drank my pint and left and will not try this pub again.' Report
Brierfield Pubs : The Waggon & Horses pub in Brierfield near Nelson 'I have been to this pub several times and the landlord takes care of the pub, he talks to customers and takes time to get to know them.
This pub is a good place and more people should take the time to go here and drink, like many pubs in this area it needs more drinkers.' Report
Burnley Pubs : Black Bull Inn pub in Burnley 'This is a good pub, some friendly people to be found here.
The staff are okay but speak mainly to their friends only.
The place gets very busy on Sunday nights when I have been in.' Report
Burnley Pubs : The Baltic Fleet pub in Burnley 'I have been to this pub a few times, its oaky, not the best and not the worst.
The staff are okay and friendly enough, the punters are okay and will say hello to a stranger.
Pool table available and juke box as well, seats out the front of the pub and another pub next door to visit as well.
I only saw one ale on tap and no tonic water for the gin tonic I wanted, but the pub is fine.' Report
