Lancaster Pubs : Metro pub in Lancaster 'What a mad mixture, a bar & grill & a fine dining restaurant all under the same roof. Classic, c#ontemporary & very stylish layout & thats just the new cocktail menu. Spare a moment to look at the fantastic new photography on the walls. I read an article about art in pubs in the guardian. Well done the sun hotel, and all the others but I think you will find that Sante was the first place in town to showcase local artists. Its amazing the sheer beauty and not too much either. The staff are by far the best in town surpassing all other establishments, they are friendly helpful and full of energy. (Check out the hot coffee coloured manager mmmmm) They have by far the best food in town and serve all day from the lunchtime right through to closing without a break most days, unknown in most venues!' Lancaster Pubs : Metro pub in Lancaster 'Gone down hill since the big dark guy has moved on, but he is now at the water witch
At least he hasn't left town, it would be such a shame.' Report
Aldcliffe Lance Pubs : The Waterwitch pub in Aldcliffe Lance near Lancaster 'The gorgeous yummy manager from Sante has just taken over, all those beers, cheeses and him. Mmmmmmmmmm!' Report
Lancaster Pubs : George & Dragon pub in Lancaster 'The George & Dragon, Lancaster. What can i say about their pies, apart from they are the best I have ever eaten in my entire life. Full of top notch meat and vegetables, they taste great and you get a huge portion of mash and peas, but wait it doesn't stop there, they have regular mash, cheesy mash, dijon mash..... Homemade mush peas, and delicious gravy. For less than £7 you can get a pint or a large glass of wine as well. Its a bargain. That guy certainly knows how to fill you up!!!!' Report
Bolton Pubs : Wilton Arms pub in Bolton 'I couldn't actually believe it, i was astounded by this place. I thought bolton had nowhere of quality to eat. Under new ownership of an independant company. Everything was fantastic, I had homemade soup to start, I opted for a delicious chicken breast stuffed with sunblushed tomatoes accompanied by a selection of summer vegetables and I wanted the hot chocolate brownie for dessert but he is the manager and wasn't willing to participate. I'll try again next week when i indulge in the pork wrapped in cumbrian air dried ham. In the mean time i can only dream about my hot brownie! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality food, in fantastic surroundings.' Report
