Maidenhead Pubs : Smokey Joes pub in Maidenhead
'The previous comment was probably an effort to promote the venue by the owners. It is in fact an appalling place, on entering you'll realise why it's called SMOKEY Joes because it's choking with cigarette smoke and has no windows or air conditioning (or any that works at least). Always full of mutton dressed as lamb and I've seen the bouncers throw a man down the stairs on his way out. The music isn't too bad though and it isn't too pricy. You get free 'food' ( bacon rolls etc) from the bar of a similar quality to raw camel hide. They have live music sometimes but it's often pretty bad.'
