'A friendly local pub with good beers. Gets smoky due to size and low ceiling. Good atmosphere especially on Friday night. Good parking. Attractive front. Good 'crack' around bar during last hour. Landlord droll but good sense of humour.'

Lower Darwen Pubs : Uncle Jacks pub in Lower Darwen near Darwen
'New landlord took over about 9 months ago. Turnedit into a third rate karaoke bar. Most of regulars have drifted. Beer still ok. Dead during the week. Very smoky when busy. Lost its local feel due to inexperienced new landlord. Come back Jimmy Hughes former landlord all is forgiven.!'
