Clanfield Pubs : Clanfield Tavern pub in Clanfield near Bampton
'Great food, great beer, really friendly atmosphere. A spacious conservatory which is great in the summer or you can relax in the oak beamed bar area of the restaurant, with an open fire in the winter months. All round i really enjoy visiting this pub at any time of year.'

Alvescot Pubs : Plough Inn pub in Alvescot near Bampton
'Great 6X in this pub!! It has two bars, one smoking, one non-smoking. Food is good, but spacing between the tables can be a bit cramped. You really gotta love your neighbour with this one!! Pool table is playable, and they have a skittle alley which can be hired for parties!!'

Brize Norton Pubs : Chequers Inn pub in Brize Norton near Carterton
'A spacious pub/restaurant. Good beer, though nothing outstanding. But the food is great!! I personally recommend their bacon and mozzerella baguette for lunch!! Pub seems a bit of an odd set up at first, but the secluded restaurant area is ideal for the old romantic in you!!'

Carterton Pubs : The Old Aviator pub in Carterton
'The kind of place where the moment you walk in you just know you may have to leave running. All of the pool balls stop on the table, the drinks stop mid flow and you find yourself confronted with a room full of stern faces looking at you as if to enquire why you have dared to enter. I cant really comment any further, as i only had one pint of vaguely fizzy cider then beat a hasty retreat. Probably a very nice place in truth, shame i shall never be going in to find out though!!'

Carterton Pubs : Beehive pub in Carterton
'A fine drinking establishment by day. Beer is nothing to shout about, but it gets the job done. Bit of a sports bar feel to it, quite modern inside. Trouble comes on weekend nights, it turns into cartertons only "nightclub." It fills to the brim with the youngsters of RAF brize norton, and when they mix with the local lads from town, then you put the girls between them, it gets interesting. If you like a good scrap,go. If not, dont!'

Desford Pubs : The Blue Bell inn pub in Desford near Leicester
'the pub is attractive and has a really friendly atmosphere. very good range of beers and spirits. food is very good and fairly inexpensive. they also have b+b out the back. the rooms are very spacious and really well looked after. the bar is split into two sides and you find (as with many places) you get the older drinkers in one bar and the youngsters in the other. but it still retains the good atmosphere. the car park is huge so no problems there. it is an everard's pub so all the local leicester brews are on.'
