'awful customer relations - after we had our main course we were ignored in favour of the staff taking a long phone call - after a long wait to just get the dessert menu, let alone order, we complained to be greeted by a foul and abusive verbal tirade from the owner who was threatening towards us and told us where to go in no uncertain terms while also using ignorant gestures. A wait would have been understandable if it was busy, but as we were the only people there it seemed bizarre. On leaving we spoke with other people going in and it appears this may not be the first such outburst in the establishment (that is purely on what we were told but have not witnessed). It was a pity as the food was good (compliments only go to the chef), beer was nice and the pub itself is homely - it's just a big dissappointment that the owner let the place down so dramatically. This was our experience, I would avoid the pub but feel free to make up your own minds on it.'
