This user has reviewed the following pubs:

Gateshead Pubs : The Borough Arms pub in Gateshead
'A traditional 'real ale' bar, this pub offers a very welcoming atmosphere. It was refurbished a few years ago but has retained that old feel about the place. There is a 'Buskers night' on Thursdays. The Borough Arms is well worth a visit.'

Gateshead Pubs : Ye Old Fleece pub in Gateshead
'A very traditional, unmodernised and cheap pub, frequented by the more 'mature' man (old codgers in the main). The walls are covered with old boxing photo's, there is a pool table and a large plasma TV screen for the football and the racing. The latest manager is well known as a Karaoke presenter but even he wouldn't dare to start one up here. He knows that most of his customers and staff would simply walk out.'

Gateshead Pubs : The Blue Bell Hotel pub in Gateshead
'ChrisB seems to have got his pubs mixed up here. this is the Bluebell in Victoria Square, Felling. Chris is referring to the Bluebell on Gateshead High Street (West).'

Gateshead Pubs : Station Hotel pub in Gateshead
'Tucked into an angle under the railway bridge by the Tyne bridge this has to be the smallest pub in Gateshead if not the North East. Get a dozen customers in there and it's full. The beer is good if a liited selection. The decor is traditional (apart from an occasional coat of paint it hasnt been refurbished in the 20 years that I've been popping in).'

Gateshead Pubs : Pear Tree Inn pub in Gateshead
'I called in this pub once to attend a friends bank holiday karaoke and found a horse drinking beer out of a bucket in the bar. Need I say more??'

Gateshead Pubs : Ye Old Fleece pub in Gateshead
'In the time since my last review the only change is that the Fleece now does karaokes on Sunday and Tuesday nights. On those nights it does attract a different clientele. They tend to be 'charvers' unfortunately.'

Gateshead Pubs : Grey Nags Head pub in Gateshead
'The Nags is a friendly traditional bar with well kept ales and traditional lunch grub. The current management (Cath and Pete0 are very welcoming indeed. On my first visit after they took over last year it was my birthday. Not only did Cath buy me a pint but she went out to Tesco's round the corner to buy me a card. It doesn't get much more welcoming than that.'

Gateshead Pubs : The Trafalgar pub in Gateshead
'The Trafalgar is now closed and awaiting demolition as part of the rebuilding of Gateshead town centre.'
