'Fantastic! Without question the saltiest pint in Lancaster, and i simply adore the welcome addition of tables covered in glasses, ash and........ "stickyness". I used to love (or is that naively tolerate?) it when i was younger. Now the very young and mutton-dressed-as-lamb seem to adore it now, but isn't that the same with all chain pubs? Good all day breakfast... but calling it an aussie breakfast is stretching the truth a bit. No Kangaroo? Shocker! A must choose for England sporting events...and post-ashes revelry.'

'Wow. Been away from Lancaster and my favourite pub for a while. I didn't think this place could get any better. But it has. The owners of here and the Sun seem to get better and better. Malnourished dog? I doubt it! The food is amazing and the portions are immense. No-one (or thing) could starve here. Or go thirsty with their astounding range of drinks. Must get one of those passports...i fancy a holiday for trying some new, obscure drinks! This pub must had the biggest spirit, wine and beer selection ever, yet i'm sure there's even more now! Astounding.
If you go to one pub in your life make it the Witch. If you're fasting don't go...the food is too scrumptious to avoid! Can't there be a Water Witch everywhere?? Pretty please. With sugar on top.'

'Simply stunning. Best breakfast ever. Great drinks. Best pub in the town centre by a long chalk. Amazing design, especially the deep well near the back doors...if only my pint glass was that deep. Just can't get enough of this place, and the rest of Lancaster seems to feel the same way!'

'Been back again recently. The food is now even better, absolutely out of this world, creative and classic mixed! The service is impeccable and presentation is awesome. Best food in Lancaster without a shadow of a doubt! And more real ale. Heaven, pure and simple. Those long missed sunny days outside can't be far off now...i can't wait! No wonder people keep throwing awards at this place! I echo congratulations to all involved! '

'Trying to be something Lancaster needs? I can't help thinking i've seen some ideas elsewhere about the town... but hey...
Other than that food looks good, bit better than average pub grub, decent wine list, green paint is a bit sickly, still looks a bit like the blob shop...basically better than average for Lancaster, but not amongst the very best... fair play gents (and/or ladies)... keep going!'
