Aldbrough Pubs : Elm Tree Inn pub in Aldbrough near Hull
'The landlord and landlady may be bikers, so perhaps they spend all time out on their bike? Three visits in the last year showed only a young barmaid in residence, with no wish to serve or be helpful. no food, no ice, no smile - and no atmosphere at all. Good range of ales though'

York Pubs : The Cock and Bottle pub in York
'They had a good pint of Duchars on when I visited on Saturday in March. No food though - and the pub currently opens restricted hours 4pm to 11.30. Good crowd though. And no sign of the ghost (George Buckingham, the Georgie Porgie wwwwwwin the pudding and pie nursery rhyme who kissed the girls and made them cry) who hangs around the ladies toilets, tickling the ladies'

'This bar has been closed since Christmas, though the lights are still on all day! (end of March, 2006)'

York Pubs : YO1 pub in York
'The operating company went bust in 2005 and recivers KPMG have been running it since. A bit empty in March 2006, no atmosphere really. A bit out of place wheere it is - this is really a Micklegate pub half a mile too east for it to be part of the circuit.'

York Pubs : The Windmill Hotel pub in York
'Good service, happy staff. Well run pub. (March 2006) And a great pint of Bombardier to boot!'
Report

Hull Pubs : The Parkstone pub in Hull
'New owner in early 2006 who is changing the name back to The Wheelhouse. Hopefully he will bring back the old food menu, old drinks and some customers too.'

Gilberdyke Pubs : Rose & Crown pub in Gilberdyke near Brough
'Lovely setting, big garden with fish pond, tables outside. It runs as a restaurant only at the moment, great food, peaceful surroundings. All fresh local ingredients, plus some great real ales, from local breweries and jennings, although its a free house. Friendly landlady, - not a drinkers pub butr a great place for a meal. '
