'The lovely pub continues to serve wonderful home made top quality "restaurant"food, together with a very nice bar (and locals)only half a mile from J11 of M42 worth a stop but booking is advisable (essential at weekends and special theme nights) Highly recomended!!'

'This pub has been taken over and now have a non smoking restaurant serving very good home made food,they now have a special curry night YUMMY!, pie night and fish night(moules mariniere superb, as is the fish and chips with excellent beer batter!)also a regular menu highly recommended at very reasonable prices.'

'The food is still consistently good the restaurant has been refurbished the format of the meals has now changed and there is no longer a curry night or a fish night but these are often specials of the night still highly recommended'

'The Black Horse is highly recommended for its wonderful food in the good hands of the new owners. Locally sourced and superb quality. This does not interfere with the lovely bar either.'
