Northampton Pubs : Queen Adelaide Inn pub in Northampton 'Real ale pub, nice atmos, not for leisure wearing psychos. Try going further east for them.' Report
Northampton Pubs : The Malt Shovel pub in Northampton 'Boorish yobbos remain undetected by this p1sshead for five years. 'New' landlord has got the priorities right, if you ask me. Noisy R&B bands come occasionally on a Wednesday night, but more often appearing are quality blues bands. Loads of real ale not at Tescos prices admittedly, but better than being stabbed in the eye with a leisure implement. Bit of a CAMRA-Church, but friendly enough...' Report
Northampton Pubs : The Romany pub in Northampton 'Top boozer, occasionally have a superb jazz night, many, many handpump ales, reasonable prices, not trouble. Bit of a 'gents' pub usually, but none the worse for that...' Report
Northampton Pubs : The Racehorse Inn Ltd. pub in Northampton 'Established town pub with lashings of real ale. Frequented by all types of indie and rock tribes, but seemingly with a solid and common goal of getting pleasently trashed without any hassle from the psychos you get in most other town centre bars. The landlord has no truck with troublesome types, so despite the occasionally f-in loud music, it's pretty cool in there. + No football. Ever. Usually live Rugby Union on tv Sat afternoons. DJs and live music regularly, in both the front bar and (large) rear bar...
+ Beer prices reasonable.
+ Lager drinkers properly treated like vermin.' Report
